Yoga Instructors Training

The richness of life and the abundance of joy that the practice of Yoga showers is well known to every dedicated practitioner of Yoga. Indeed, it is glimpsed even by the Yoga dilettante! 

It is one of VYASA-LA’s core principles to spread the natural wonder of Yoga so the community as a whole is happier and healthier. One approach has been to train and create teachers across far flung Southern California. Measured simply by the myriad number of classes that are being conducted, it has been a success. Across several counties of Southern California, those who have undergone the vigorous teacher training program lead and impart the wisdom of Yoga to hundreds of people.

The carefully drafted training program brings together aspects of Ashatanga Yoga where students are taught and monitored in the practice of asanas, pranayama, kriyas and approaches to meditation. Along with practical training, students are also taught the theory of Yoga and delve into the teachings of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. Before certifying the teacher, senior VYASA-LA teachers supervise an extended internship. ​
