I have been doing yoga for the last 10 years. VYASA-LA’s method of yoga has not only improved my physical health but also brought me mental clarity. Even after the end of a busy day, I find myself focused and calm. The sense of well-being enables you to feel closer to a force or energy presence, which is bigger than yourself. It was in mid-2016, that I first started learning Yoga with VYASA-LA. I would attend the in-person classes, twice a week. With the pandemic, the silver lining for me has been to avail of online classes every day of the week. These classes have had an enormous impact on me to attain wholesomeness of being and mindfulness because of attention that is paid to breath that serves as a bridge between body and mind. The teachers at VYASA-LA are skilled in their teaching and I extend my sincere appreciation to them for volunteering their time to teach us. May they continue this service!

Although I was introduced to VYASA-LA several years ago, it took the pandemic to make me a believer in the benefits of Yoga. With my local gym shutting down for good in the wake of Covid-19, I decided to participate in the VYASA-LA 100-dayYoga challenge. I also signed up for the DMWM program. These are my takeaways: First and foremost, I feel that I am now part of a larger holistic movement to provide an alternate, cost-effective, and permanent solution for effective management of one’s body, mind and intellect. Through personal experience, I can categorically state that Yoga is for all ages and for all times; the physical and psychological benefits to our body is eternal and permanent. Especially for “home bound” seniors, regular yoga practice under expert guidance can once again strengthen self-confidence and help keep old age health problems far, far away. My sincere appreciation to the entire VYASA-LA management team, teachers, and volunteers for their collective “gift” to the community at large. My only regret is that I didn’t start learning yoga seven decades ago when my body was more flexible. But better late than never!
