The aim of Yoga is not to create a body building competitor with rippling muscles and bulked up look. It is more nuanced than this and requires no iron pumping or pill swallowing. In other words it needs no extraneous help.
Yoga Asanas when practiced to its full potential, sculpts a beautifully proportionate body. Its fruits are immense flexibility and suppleness which can yet, because of core strength, transform to steel when required. Yoga causes muscles to unwind, joints to relax and metabolism to slow. Yoga makes the practitioner always expend only the required amount of energy. In Yoga, the inner vital energies are so carefully harnessed, that even in moments of stress, body organs coordinate smoothly, directing energy flow toward those regions that require it most. |
